Victory is mine.

That's riiiiigghghhhtt. Suck it ebay competitor! I outbid you at the last second! HAAHAHAH!

Sorry, had to get that out of my system.

As you can see, I won these authentic YSL Trib booties in my size no less. Sheer orgasmic joy is cursing through my veins right now. In 5-7 business days, they shall be mine.

I'm going to (finally) do a post with some of the footwear from my (and my readers/fellow bloggers) collections. If you are interested in being included... let me know in the comments.

Pierre Hardy explains why shoes are curazay.

Pierre Hardy is a genius. And in this short little video he explains how shoes have gotten to the towering platform trend so popular on the runway this season. And the shoes above are on sale on barneys.com. If only my tax return was arriving on time!

Kaiser Rolllll

So yeah, Chanel rocks it AGAIN with the shoes. Just when I think, Karl's too old, this collection is gonna suck and be hella boring KAPOW! He comes out with this. These are just three of the insane shoes he featured. Wearable but totally on target with the fetishista footwear (I'm calling the crazy shoe trend that now. Take note)
LOVE LOVE LOVE the ring in the heel! So effing fun. Karl, you are not too old baby. I still love you.
Thanks for all the love too! Stoked so many peole share my illness with footwear. If you want to get linked, drop me a line here: iamshoesick at gmail dot com

Chloe Shmoe

For as much as I have loved and devoted myself to Chloe's footwear in the past, I was sadly underwhelmed with Hannah MacGibbon's Fall 09 RTW Collection. The shoes seemed an afterthought, very uninspired and looked to be ideas scrapped from past seasons. With a few exceptions, not my favorite this season. I did enjoy the rustic heeled leather lace up booties and of course, the thigh high boots with the metallic detailing at the cuff.

I'm so highhighhigh: Galliano Fall 09

Galliano's folk-russia-fairytale inspired show had some crazy ass footwear. The architectural construction was raw and unfinished, reminiscient of hand constructed footwear of the Prussian romantic period.
Pompoms decorated some of the uppers, along with intricately laced leather and bronze/metal forged heels.
Interesting concepts, but I doubt we'll see this raw look translate to everyday. I feel like the footwear world is moving toward a darker, polishedness, with not so much an unfinished feel.

I just kept wishing a pair would appear with the wood black laquered. But then again, points for individuality I suppose!

YSL Love

A little love for Stefano Pilati. You are a genius and I'm dying to slip these puppies on my tootsies.
